Asus Zenbook 14 (2026) launches in India from Rs 1,36,990: what it means for used laptop value
Asus launched the new Zenbook 14 in India from Rs 1,36,990. See the prices, the main specs and why high new laptop prices matter for used ones.
Asus launched its new Zenbook 14 in India on 5 November. It comes in three versions, and even the cheapest one costs Rs 1,36,990. New laptop prices have climbed this year, and that affects the value of laptops people already own.
Three versions and their prices: The Zenbook 14 comes with a choice of three chips. The UX3480QA uses a Snapdragon X chip and costs Rs 1,36,990. The UX3480KA uses an AMD Ryzen chip and costs Rs 1,56,990. The top UX3480AA uses an Intel Core Ultra 9 386H chip and costs Rs 1,67,990. Asus sells it through its own stores, its online shop and large electronics retailers. Buyers can choose between no-cost and low-cost EMI options. The Snapdragon model is the lightest of the three.
Main features: All three versions have 16GB of RAM and a 512GB SSD. Every model has an OLED screen. The top Intel model gets a 3K OLED touchscreen with a 120Hz refresh rate. Asus claims up to 33 hours of battery life, under its own test conditions. Colours are Arctic Blue, Komodo Coral and Zabriskie Beige, though not every colour may be sold for every model. The Intel and AMD models get a bigger 70Wh battery. The Snapdragon model has a 50Wh battery. Charging is through USB-C with a 68W adapter, and all models run Windows 11 Home.
New laptops cost more this year: This launch comes during a year of rising laptop prices in India. In June, Business Today reported on prices from Dell, HP and Lenovo. They had reportedly risen 15% to 30% this year. The same report said DRAM memory prices had nearly doubled over the past year. A Counterpoint Research analyst said laptops were likely to see sharper price rises than smartphones. The analyst pointed to rising DRAM and NAND memory prices, along with higher display costs.
What this means for used laptops: When new laptops cost more, a good used laptop becomes a stronger choice for many buyers. Students and office workers often need a reliable machine, not the latest one. Higher new prices push more of them to look at pre-owned options. For sellers, this can help. A laptop with enough RAM, a healthy battery and a clean screen is easier to sell. Keep the charger, the box and the bill if you have them. They help a buyer trust the laptop. For buyers, a used laptop can save a lot of money. Check the battery health, the keyboard and the ports before you pay.
